LG GSA-H55N reads blank dvds as cds

| HI Im new to the site and im glad i found it.... Anyways heres my problem I've just purchased and installed an LG GSA-H55N and as soon as i put in a blank dvd, it reads it as a cd. I've also installed dvd identifier and it read the blank dvd... my dvd drive still changes to cd after i put a blank dvd in... I AM STUCK, Please help... Im contemplating taking it back to the store while i still can. |

| Just ignore that. It is just a strange windows explorer behaviour, no real problem.

| I dont think I explained it to well...... it reads it as a cd and it wont copy as a dvd, I dont think its a windows issue. IM still STUCK.... Help, Thanks. |

| "copy" is not working. You need to open up a proper burning app like Nero and then burn something onto the disc.

| Then please post a screenshot from that. Also the Nero version, the mediatype used etc.

| Hmph, my Explorer DOES show it as a "Unidade de CD"(Portuguese OS), but the icon is a DVD one and the burner says it is a DVD, though. |
