Hm, some 20x media? But H42N is only a 18x writer, right?

And are you sure you pasted the right media list? I do not get the same list when downloading that firmware and open it with MSCE

The table was made with the speed id interpretation used in the previous firmwares. Looks like LG increased the higher speed ids up one level, but I have to check that in detail.

Someone already did but you will have to wait about 1-2 weeks before it is released so the other patches and open issues can be tested and fixed.

As already said in post #3, LG changed the internal speed coding in the H42 firmware, so the media table listing is not correct.

i can't rename the A__YUDEN entry into YUDEN000 to enable the T02 write strategy. Am i doing it incorrectly?

Dumb problem, I should be able to figure this out but... Used MCSE 1.0.9.9 to patch the RJ11 Buffalo firmware. My H42N is Primary on IDE one. When I run the patched firmware it cannot find the drive. CDSpeed sees it. Any suggestions? I have already downloaded twice.

Yeah i had a problem also. chas when you open the f/w in MCSE left click once on your drive and you will get a pop up window asking you if you want to patch it. Save it and then flash with that. You might as well make any changes in the f/w you want

If that doesn't work i have no idea.
