LG GH22NS70 Need help with Firmware Reflashing.

I have 2 LG GH22NS70 DVD Drives that will not burn a DVD at 4x speed.

I'm had another LG DVD Drive in my PC and I had no problem's using the DVD's I'm using now and burning program's burning 4x speed and when I called LG he guy kept telling me it was a problem with my Burning Programs and not the burner and I told him that was a load of crap as it olny started after I installed these crappy DVD Drives.

Can anyone tell me if there is Firmware out that can be used to reflash these Drives so you can Burn DVD's at 4x speed, also could you please provide a link.

I don't know what the Firmware is that's in them but there has not been any new Firmware released for them accordding to the guy I was talking to at LG.

Burning DVD at 4x, why??

If you really want to burn at 4x (I have no clue why) then either you need an older dvd burner or 4x rated dvd media.

The Media I'm using is rated for 4x speed the problem is bad Firmware with this LG DVD Drive.

The reason I want to be able to burn at 4x speed is because I have had problems backing up movies and having them pause alot threw out the movie when burned any high then 4x.

Why do you believe "its bad firmware"??
Maybe just the media you use is bad....
