| I cant' seem to be able to run a quality test in CDspeed with my new 4166B (firmware 1.01), the start button is grey  How can I test the burn quality ? |

| I think someone got to start a thread asking for PI/PIF scan in current or future LG drives + everyone sending e-mail to LG support, as it was done for NEC 3500/3520. NEC 3520 got a PI/PIF firmware after this campaign, so what do you think of that ? Maybe the LG chip is not able to do it and they will have to change it, but nervermind. |

| Very good for PIF, less for PIE but it's still ok... but the NEC is a poor reader/scanner. |

| Thanks for your comments guys. I am still very pleased with this LG drive, it was a good buy I believe Yeah, the NEC is not the best drive... Not even good at burning really. What (cheap) drive is the best for reading and testing with CDSpeed ? |

| You know what ? The LG IDE cable in the box is NOT UDMA 4 compliant ! It's unbelievable ! My burner is seen only at UDMA 2 with it. With my Asus IDE cable, I see the 4166 as UDMA 4 ! Thanks a lot! |
