Click here to see full specs hi guys , i tried all possible mediacode changes but all results are the same. If i change a code from 2.4/4x to 4/8x i can only burn at 2.4x. did i do anything wrong or

i think i have to change 1 hex ind DVD Identifiers logfile ,but which?

I dont think that's a good idea, i would choose to go out and get some 8x media.

For me, overspeeding RW media has always ended up with RW media that was irreparably damaged beyond all recognition after the first attempt at writing. I'm pretty sure you do NOT want to do that. [That's why no drive offers overspeeding of any sort for RW media].

RW media is much more finicky and sensitive to being oversped; the discs are designed to work with a certain laser power, and overdoing it ust destroys the phase-change capability of the dye--the whole reason it's able to be [re]written.

I'd go with vroom's advice; getting faster media is your best bet.

You can also easily destroy your burner by attempting to overspeed burning RW media.
