hl-dt-st-dvd+-rw gsa-h21n firmware
My ACER T180 contained a DVD drive withe the followindg details:
HL-DT-ST-DVD+-RW GSA-H21N RPC2
I couldn't find a RPC1 firmware upgrade, so I flashed with the following:
HL-DT-ST-DVDRAM GSA-H22N 1.01 RPC1
Everything appears to be working OK. No region protection and read / writes to DVDRAM.
Questions? Did I do any damage? Have I achieved anything (apart from being region free)?

Re: hl-dt-st-dvd+-rw gsa-h21n firmware
I have also crossflashed my H21N to a H22N and so far it seems to work just fine. You'll find the details here:
If you don't want to take that much of a risk, I suggest you crossflash it to a H20N instead, since natively H21N is in fact a H20N!
Of course crossflashing will void your warranty and it always has some degree of risk, but I would say crossflashing it to a H20N is a pretty safe bet if you don't feel adventurous enough to crossflash it to a H22N
Thanks to pcuckoo for letting us know about his crossflash!
