| Welcome to the forum, laki022  Sounds like a DMA problem. Go to the link in my signature ("How to check/enable DMA"), and follow the instructions for your operating System

| 1.Try to use another ide cable. 2.Insert a burned disc and run nero cd/dvd speed (transfer rate and brust rate) 3.Youo can use MCSE to make the drive faster, but i would try the nero cd/dvd speed first.
