| My second MCC03RG20 16x burn, better but still not as good as Quikee's. I will stick to 8x for now and try 16x again further down the spindle. These are photo printables. BTW Has anyone tried the new TDK Photo Glossy Inkjet Printables yet? With my next shipment, I will order some (1.25 euro each for + and -).

| Xterminator: MCC are quite variable at quality.. just look at my scan from a bad batch of MCC003 that I recieved from a friend to confirm that it's not a problem with his burner. If I would burn mine MCC003 that are very good the result would be much much better. BTW. Can you post a scan from a 8x burn on MCC03RG20? I tried to find it here but I didn't.. maybe I missed it. =)

| Thanks, you've been busy, Zevia. TYG02 still seems to be the best media for this drive, if you do not need 12x or 16x burning. My experiments with ala42's modified firmware burning TYG02@TYG03 with 16x speed showed an increase in PIE or PIF at the end of the burn; 12x would probably be better but strategy swapping with this firmware is too complicated for my taste.

| MCC03RG20 16x DVD-R burned @16x LG GSA-4163B FW A104. Media sold as Verbatim DVD-R 25pack (Made in Taiwan). Managed to tweak the lead-in/out a few seconds. 5:15 full disk with fairly good burn quality.
