Since you're not in the US it's possible the ES-15 or even ES-18 (never heard of in the US) may record to/from the SD card. Many times non US Panasonic DVDRs will do more things than ones available in the US. Here's a link to the international version of the EH-68 which is available in the US.

It does say, records from SD to HDD but AFAIK no DVDR will support external HDDs
I've never heard of the EH-78, it's probably not available in the US.
