To do that it would need a digital tuner.
I started this thread a while back,
and so far it doesn't appear there are any in the US.

Sony and pioneer have it but you have to be wiling to pay the price tag of $800-$1000 for it

I can't find a current Sony model that has an EPG. I think they had the RDR-HX900 which supported one but it doesn't look like that's in production any longer. In fact, it doens't look like Sony makes a model with a hard drive any more. The only systems on their US website are the RDR-GX330 and the RDR-VX530. Seems like they have a pretty short life cycle on their DVD recorders!

I thought that I looked at the Pioneers but they only supported -R/-RW and not +R/+RW?
