I have several broadcasts currently on the hard drive, but one is unusual. It will not play and it will not erase. When I attempt either of these actions, the unit hangs up and has to be unplugged. Sometimes I can pass by it on my way to a previously recorded broadcast, but at other times the unit hangs up when the selector gets to that recording. The unit displays NAVI.
If left alone for about five minutes with that program's thumbnail selected on the Direct Navigator screen, the thumbnail will begin playing within the Direct Navigator window.
I can play, delete, and record other broadcasts on this unit.
Anyone know how can I delete this recording?

I know this is an ancient post; just adding: Under "Disc settings" in the HDD menu, there's an option to reformat the HDD. Save your good recordings to another drive first, all will be lost. But the corrupted recording will be lost as well.
