because that's absolutely illegal and no one on this forum is that much of a scumbag nor do we advocate discussion of such subjects.

Maybe because we appreiciate what a good piece of software it is as well as the excellent Support we receive? Im more than happy to pay the price!

Why don't we all get the this so called patch and force the good people at slysoft to rethink that its no longer worthwhile their time and effort?

Then have them stop providing us with support for the products we use? They might as well pack it in as they no longer get the funds for their product?

"Dont bite the hand that feeds you" so to say.

So Shlom_28 i assume your using a "patched" version? I suppose your also backing up illegally? Just assuming i suppose from your post!

tut, tut!

I know a lot of you are at Uni, Collage or whatever and money is a bit tight, but as software goes Slysoft's offerings are really inexpensive.

Just look what you are getting for the money, how many other programmes offer this amount of support and just work, well for me any way.

The only problems I've had with any of it was my own doing and soon sorted by a little thought of what the problem might be. Perhaps I'm lucky?

It's a matter of priorities really, to me, being able to back up my precious DVD's is high on the list and as such, I would certainly do without a few of life's other pleasures for a while to get the cash to buy these programmes.

How many of you smoke, or have a few beers, soda's or binge burgers a week. It doesn't take long to accumulate enough money to be able to afford Clone and Any DVD.

I know some of you are hard at study and are not earning yet, for you guys it must seem like a fortune. and any discount on the price is very handy.

I know it's tempting to use a patch, but one day you may create a good bit of software and how would you feel if people were blagging it and not paying you?

there's that way f thinking about it, but there's also the standpoint that anyone who has a use and the desire to obtain this software must purchase many DVDs otherwise they wouldn't be so interested in DVD backup.

If you have enough disposable income to buy all of the new releases every week, then surely you have enough to purchase the software...or you can hold off on buying 3 brand new dvds this week...

What a bunch of cheapskates in here. The best dam ripper out there and some of you guys are quibbling over 3 or 4 bucks. Jeez man, I though I was cheap.

I bought the whole package with no discount and it was money well spent if you want to copy your movies with the least hassle.

Does this mean I need to change the cross over my bed to a Slysoft emblem?

Heh heh.

Yes, depending on your religion. I already belong to the church of slysoft, and one of the usual ones.

To get the best you have to pay the price, If there is a discount then all the better. If you wait for a discount you are wasting good time, and if you are using dvd43 then you are going to get frustrated with the little DEVIL.
PAY the price. Ten bucks discount is what thirty minutes at work, chill out

It seems like that special holiday sales price actually returned to its previous better discount offer level?
-----------------------------------
"Today Slysoft released their new application ' CloneDVD Mobile' and promised to give current customers of the company a discount. Together with Slysoft we can now announced that by using the coupon code / promotion code: 'cdfreaks' you can receive the following discounts:

Product Coupon value
single license bundle $39 5.00 US$
2 license bundle $59 10.00 US$
3 license bundle $78 15.00 US$
4 license bundle $95 20.00 US$

For example: The regular price of the 3 license bundle "AnyDVD + CloneDVD + CloneCD" is 78.00 US$. After using the coupon the remaining amount will be 63.00 US$. The big bundle with all 4 products is 75$ instead of 95$.

The code is valid till 2006 - "02 - 25."

i just got some email for existing anydvd customers with a different code, can't remember what the discount was though.

i recently tried clonedvd and noticed that it doesn't have the svcd/divx output like nero recode does, then along came mobile!

i wish they'd integrated the two programs like recode though and i really don't like the gui in clonedvd (don't like the scrolly screen thing, or the way the video streams aren't separated into main movie/extras). i still think recode is the better program, and 2-3x as fast.

i'm kinda tempted to take up the offer for clonedvd just because recode is barfing on so many titles these days (this uncompressible main movie thing) and isn't being developed anymore - well, they screwed it up in nero7 as it can't use different rip/burn drives!

i wonder if the cdfreaks code can be combined with the existing customer code, if so i might get mobile too.

Excuse me? In my tests CloneDVD was as fast as Recode, if not faster. Don't forget to count the "scan pass" in Recode, before you even can select what you want to copy.

well recode usually takes under a minute to scan, then 3 minutes to transcode, clonedvd takes 8 minutes total.

this is recode without the 2-pass (advanced analysis) high-quality (like dvdshrink's maximum sharpness error compensation) options, but the finished results don't look any worse than clonedvd, so i assume clonedvd doesn't do 2-pass either.

if i turned on 2-pass in recode i suspect the quality would be better than clonedvd but would take a lot longer. it's all trade-offs really....

on the plus side, clonedvd does seem to be able to completely remove a stream, instead of replacing it with a picture/slideshow/colour.

I too would purchase ANYDVD if I could get the $10.00 discount.

I think that some people who have commented about people being "cheap" because they don't want to pay the full price don't understand that peoples finances differ.

For me, it's not that I don't want to pay the full price as much as having to watch my money very closely (I am retired and subsist only on Social Security, my retirement having been ancelled by my past employer to avoid bankruptcy and supported by the government). So I have just a little over $600 a month to live on, and that pays for rent, utilities and food.

So, there are times that the ony way I can afford something is if there is a "deal"out there. I am currently waiting and hoping that there is another $10.00 off deal on Anydvd because as many have said, it is certainly worth the price. It's not a matter of "won't", it's a matter of "can't" for me.

So please don't be quick to judge someone as "cheap" or otherwise. Some of us are less fortunate then others.
