Does anyone know what Anydvd 'safe mode' really does? -- there is no documentation for this at all. It just says "for those who have problems"

hey thanks for the replies guys but neither of those is really what I am lookin' for.

as for the FAQ... it doesnt say anthing, just "use it if you have problems" like i said in my above post.

and the right click thing is cool , but again, what I really want to know is, what exactly is different about running in "safe mode"-- not just that it wont work with pinnacle..

I mean, behind the scenes... is it slowing down my computer, causing any other problems, any other drawbacks or limitations, etc etc.... this is what I am after.

Sure thing. Makes you feel kinda like David Copperfield.

Well, it says "Enable it, if your PC behaves strange after the installation of AnyDVD
(conflict with other SW or drivers)", which is what's happening in your case.

Also check this one for conflicts :

System Information :

Start > Run > In the Open box, type msinfo32.exe > System Summery >

go through/check statuses in Hardware Resourses ( DMA, I/O, IRQs ) & Components
