AnyDVD - How to use? Hi, I'm a complete newcomer to this subject and have just bought AnyDVD. When the program is started I have no idea how to proceed! I'm faced with a screen with several Tabs which look interesting and informative, but I've no idea what to do next. As far as I can see there is no Help system, user guide or advice on SlySoft's website to assist newcomer's like me. Can anyone please point me in the right direction to assist here? Tutorial, user guide etc - anything please. If I try to copy a DVD with CSS, will this program be able to handle it. What does 'Region' mean and what is it's relevance to the original DVD, burner or choice of media? As you can see I have a steep learning curve, but am willing to learn! regards len21

Re: AnyDVD - How to use? @ len21, Welcome to the Forum. Congratulations on your purchased of the AnyDVD software program. SlySoft (http://www.slysoft.com) software programs have 21-day trial use period that can use to ensure that the programs will meet your needs before you are required to purchase. Out of curiosity why would you purchase a software program if you were unaware of how to use it? Forum Member voxsmart has provided you with a link to the AnyDVD- CloneDVD user tutorial. Also the AnyDVD software program has a built in User Help File. To obtain information on function of the AnyDVD software program just move you mouse pointer over an item and then “right click” on the item and a Help File is displayed describing the function of that item. Suggest visiting SlySoft (http://www.slysoft.com) and downloading a copy of the CloneDVD software program and give it a try. The AnyDVD-CloneDVD software combination is excellent in making backup copies of your DVD collection. Best Regards, bjkg

Re: AnyDVD - How to use? I would greatly appreciate some quick help to the following dilemma. I don't want anyone to go out of their way and post any more info than is necessary to solve this problem. Thanks for the anticipated reply. Here's the deal: I have ANYDVD. I insert one of my favorite TV series into the disc tray and the only other program DVD program that I have (which is Toshiba Disc Creator - the equivalent of Roxio's product) splits the contents into the AUDIO and VIDEO folders. Toshiba Disc Creator tells me, "Files or folders on the DVD disc cannot be written directly. If you want to write them to another disc, please copy them to the HDD first." So, for each series, I copy the contents of the VIDEO_TS to folders on my desktop. Now What? 2 of the 3 folders that I have (one for each series) has 20 items and the other one has 59 items in it. Each folder represents the contents of one entire disc. Obviously this entire folder is not going to fit onto one copy disc. How do I know what files are necessary to go onto each new disc? The copy discs are only 120 minutes long. Will the disc creator tell me to break the project up into several discs? Doubt that. What do I do at this point?

Re: AnyDVD - How to use? alright, I loaded one of my VIDEO_TS files and clonedvd2 shows a preview screen and on the right are all the contents of that folder in order of 'size of playtime'. How do I make a copy? there's no instructions. and my biggest question is how do you fit a TV series on a 120 minute disc? Get I get rid of all the intros and other sequences and just split the episodes between two copy discs???

Re: AnyDVD - How to use? I GOT MYSELF THROUGH THE SET UP and to the last page, now it says, "creating dvd files" AND it looks like some kind of EKG read out on the top right of the window - ALL PEAKS AND VALLEYS. After that's finished, will it be ready to write to a DVD-R? i've spent all day messing up and trying again on all this stuff. I would like to write one successful disc.

Re: AnyDVD - How to use? BUT WAIT!! Next disc and instead of only seeing the usual AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS, there is also a JACKET_P. Am I concerned with this file at all??

Re: AnyDVD - How to use? here's I hope the last question - On my first burn, they gave me some kind of readout on the LOG tab, I said it looked like an EKG readout. But these past two discs, that hasn't come up - just a sheep eating popcorn. Why the readout with the first burn?
