I got caught by the paid advertisement at the top of the page and downloaded AnyDVD, assuming that as it was a free download that it would in fact be free. I was conned into ringing a 19 number three time to get a code before it could be downloaded. After doing this I was told after the last call that each call cost me $3, a total of $9. After all this I was then notified by AnyDVD that my trial had expired.

I would urge all to be very careful about downloading from this site. One would think that if it were advertised as being free that is what it would be. Not so...

Oh well, no fool like an old fool...

I think you should go back and read what their website says. Its extremely simple, yes after a generous trial period the program costs money.

This definitely doesn't sound like the user got the software from Slysoft's website. Slysoft has no phone contact number and you don't need a code to download the software. To me this sounds like a rogue site similar to those charging for users download DVD Shrink. I'd very much like to know the actual website that was "selling" the software since from the description of the problem it was most definitely not Slysoft.
