@ shady9085,

Your above posting provides absolutely no information for Forum Members to even hazard a guess as to what could be your problem.

If you are having problems suggest viewing the AnyDVD “Read First” sticky posting titled “New posters with ripping/burning problems” (http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=182650). After closely reviewing the “New posters with ripping/burning problems” posting provide the requested information contained in that posting.

Best Regards,
bjkg

you need to post a descriptions of your "problems", region and format of the disc in question, drive and firmware information, and most importantly version NUMBERS. "latest" does not tell us ANYTHING.

i echo forum member bjkg...follow the link he provided for imformation on what we need to know and how you can find out your system specifics and post back here with adequate information so we can help you

Running Scared had no copy protection worth mentioning, as it was a rather easy backup.

I had no problem at all backing up the title R1 widescreen, using CloneDVD2 2.8.9.9 and AnyDVD 6.0.0.4

I ripped "Running Scared the other day and just tried to watch it and it keeps hanging up near the end of chapter 1 & 2 which is when I quit trying to watch it.

The DVD disk, the ISO using VirtualDrive, and the vob files on hard drive all do the same thing although I may have ripped it with DVD Shrink I'm not sure. I tried running the ISO through DVD Shrink again and it still hung up. On playback it starts to stutter then a few frames later just locks up on one frame using PowerDVD.

Since I can't remember what program I used to rip it other than AnyDVD was running I can't offer much more info. This is the first problem for me since using AnyDVD. At the time I was using the AnyDVD version prior to 6.0.1.1 (I think).

Seems that the DVD from which you ripped the content is damaged and your ripping software was set up the ignore read errors.
Please clean the DVD and rip it again.
Maybe you could try another drive to rip! (Which drive did you use?)

Title ___________ w/s f/s
region code ____________
country of dvd purchase______________
reader name__________, reader f/w______________

I too could not copy 'running scared' with dvd shrink and anydvd 6.0.1.1. Even tried the beta 6.0.2.1. So either it is latest copy protection or maybeeeeee, the disk is faulty itself. Rarely have any copy problems using dvd shrink/anydvd combo.

@knobby, i suggest you read the thread that you've posted in and note that if you want help you need to post more information. "I can't copy this" is not enough information.

you can see the thread at the top of the anydvd forum entitled "new posters with ripping/burning problems" for a list of ALL relevant information.

when you post back with some relevant and helpful information we can give assistance.

@ knobby6, You're probably right on your assumption that you have a bad source disc since others on this thread and myself, backed-up Running Scared with AnyDVD and DVD Shrink with no problems.

I also feel that it was unnecessary for you to make the comments you did to reasonsnotrules. She was just assuming that you were as others who were stating minimal info of their problems. But I do agree that you were just making an observational comment and not asking for help.

I also feel that many are too harsh to new members that post a request for help without providing enough info to determine a diagnosis at first. Why would it be so hard to just state in a calm post that they need to provide more info and maybe even suggest what info to post.

If it bothers those members so much, they should not even be fielding the request for help to begin with.

We all had to learn everything in the beginning as well .

full of myself? you posted that you had a problem. as this is a support forum i can only assume that you were seeking help and i informed you that if we were to help then we needed the information that was requested. the informationthat we needed could be found at the top of this thread which was why i asked you to read upwards to see what kind of information was needed.

i was completely polite unlike you with your rude remark.

Hello Fellow Forum Members,

It is Forum Members like knobby6 who display a less than cordial attitude towards knowledgeable Forum Members who take the time and effort to assistance other Forum Members that makes me wonder why we frequent the Forum and offer our services to these ungrateful arrogant individuals. Gratefully most Forum Members seeking assistance with their problem don’t act like Forum Member knobby6.

@bjkg

I think it's the generation, as the generations come to play they have grown up with little respect for others. I feel sorry for knobby6 for picking on reasonsnotrules, that alone was a bad mistake. She's great for helping and can be your friend but don't let that fool you when you attack her. Dreams become Nightmares.....LOL
