Pionner 107 media code not present

Asus / Pioneer Writer Discuss, Pionner 107 media code not present at CD and DVD Writers forum; i there, i have a pionner 107 and i bought 200 dvds verbatim -r 16x, and the only burn at 4x, so i think that the media code is not present,who can i overcome this. firmware 1.21 thanks

You can try one of the RPC firmwares. I personally use the Gradius firmware, and I have had good success with it. There are two or three others. Just look in this thread for Pioneer firmware. NOTE: It isn't easy to flash firmware to these Pioneers. I had to use the flasher from Gradius, and had to do some reading to ensure that I did it correctly.
