When I try to run the Disc Quality scan in Nero CD-DVD Speed I get the error msg: "Drive does not support this function". I have firmware 1.18 and I've tried several different discs. What could be the problem?

Ok, I see now. You're writing the disc w/the Pioneer and testing it on another drive. Ah!

BenQ DW-1640/1650/1655 (Drives No Longer In Production), Plextor PX-760A (Drive No Longer In Production), and Lite-On Drives because of their Scanning abilities are usually the preferred Drives used for Disc Quality Scanning.

I have exactly the same drive and firmware version but CDDVD Speed won't let me make a scan and I was told it was removed from the latest version so how come you can make scans?

He used a BENQ.
