Okay, not a scan or a question... just posting a DL transfer rate test. Really fast first "half" thanks to ala42 patched 1.18 firmware.
Ohh, I might have aquestion for you after all; what is your average DVR-115D burst speed guys?
Note, MKM001 disc burned at 4x with Litey 20A1P. -

Don't think it's that good idea burning 20x rated media at 4x.
Anyway, here is my first 20x burn on 115D and I'm impressed.
MID: YUDEN000-T03 (Verbatim branded)
Type: DVD+R 16x rated (20x in firmware)
Burned with: CD Speed 4.7.7.5 Create disc
Burned @:20x
Burn time: 4' 46''
Pre-burn calibration: 28''
Drive/Firmware: DVR-115D /1.18 ala42 patched
- Never seen this good jitter on a 20x burn and the discs dye is clean, no "rings", dark areas or variation i reflectivity.
- Adding a "Lite-On" scan for all senior members not trusting BenQ/Nexperia scanning capabilities.

Whom to trust...?
Okay guys, here comes a MKM001 @8x burn on DVR-115D holding a movie backup. None of my standalones or my PS2 can play this disc back past layerbreak. Still my Litey "says" it's a readable burn.
Go figure.
MID: MKM001 (Verbatim made in Singapore)
Type: DVD+R DL 2.4x rated (8x in firmware)
Burned with: CD Speed 4.7.7.5 Create disc
Burned @:8x
Burn time: 17' 52''
Pre-burn calibration: 30''
Drive/Firmware: DVR-115D /1.18 ala42 patched
- Note, nothing in this burn is related to the patch.

The litey has too strong error correction, so no problems for it. Other drives feel so hard to read it

From either scan, you can definitely tell that that disc isn't good at the layer break [or approaching it].
And from your playback/TRT experiences, the drives aren't too far off....I'd trust both, seeing how the Pioneer managed to deal with it.

These 115D drives seems be be hell of a good burners.
My last disc in a 50 spindle...
MID: MBIPG101-R05 (made in India)
Type: DVD+R 16x rated (18x in firmware)
Burned with: CD Speed 4.7.7.5 Create disc imag (movie backup)
Burned @:18x
Burn time: 5'10''
Pre-burn calibration: 25''

- Very clean burn, no "rings" or dark parts on disc. Plays back without problems on my standalones.
- Adding a Litey scan (at bottom) for all Lite-On lovers.

In addition to above.
This post is not related to 115D burner or results. Only a test to ensure my drive is still able to burn after some "experiments".
Thanks ala42.
MediaRange branded crap MCC-003 at 12x. Discs bonding/ lamination isn't 100% at edge of disc.
