@tropic
Yes, I saw your VERY similar scans on MKM 001 after I posted mine. I'm liking this latest batch of white printables I bought in a 20 pc. cakebox from supermediastore.com.

I haven't dared to do that. I used these crappy media already with my first DVD writer, an LG 4020B, and bought one hundred of these Princo disks (there are still about 30 left). Though I have saved the content of these disks to much better media meanwhile, they turned out to be very durable. Most of them have many PO errors and nevertheless can be played without a hitch on any of my DVD players. I usually burn a DVD twice. Once on quality media for archiving and a second time on crappy media (I have quite a lot) for usage with DVD players. My Sigmatek 380 pro, which has a 1389FF chip set and 64 MB of memory, plays even the worst media without any problems.
Fake Ritek R03 disks are equally crappy media, which the Pio 111 handles very well, when burned at 4x speed:

About as good as it gets for DL. The Best media, MKM001 Verbatim, and the best DL burner, the PIONEER 111. You can't argue with results like this:

That is a pretty impressive burn on DL. I have never gotten anything close to that...Then again I have Ritek DL and I haven't used my pioneer to burn and DL yet. But the Sony Dru-800 with ritek disks produced horrible results, often times freezing in standalone dvd players at certain points.

After good experiences with Optodisc from Intenso today I get some 8x DVD+R Bulkpaq with Optodisc mediacode OR8, for 5,52 EUR 25 pieces. I know some people will not believe the scan but it is real. The Pioneer 111 loves that media. And I love my Pioneer for giving me such results with such media.
