TDBs firmware is only rpc1, nothing else.

If its 111D black, then use any flavour fw u like. 1.29 is the latest. I use 8.26 TDB that makes 111L and allows for RAM, and lots other stuff.
I used MCSE on it first.

my drive is much noisier after flashing to 111L. When listening music or watching a movie, the drive spins at max speed, before it worked at a low speed at first, when the speed wasnt enough it spin up. Is there anyway to have the 111L features and low noise?

What does color have to do with it?

No. And in my experience the drive always speeds down in a while. If for some reason it doesnt u can always use nero Drive Speed.

hi, i get your ideas. But, is that simulation with the stripe on the writing surface? i dont think so. i checked by my eyes, it's really burnt and just failed!!!?! can it be to figure out that pioneer is not a good burner? it's my opinion. because my TDK +r 16x is not a bad disc, right? and even with sony +r 16x accucore has the trouble...although i heard a lot of positive information about pioneer burner,i'm really confused about the compatible and reliable of pioneer!

TDK has been accused of selling B-grade, especially 16x, media.
Try Verbies!
Pios usually should be good burners.

CMC MAG M01 doesn't seem to work well for me on my Pio or any other burner. IMHO it's generally junk media. It's disappointing that TDK would resort to that quality level since they enjoyed a reputation for top quality products back in tape days. But they're sadly not among the best anymore.
