DVR-110D 117 to 137 Kernel Question

Asus / Pioneer Writer Discuss, DVR-110D 117 to 137 Kernel Question at CD, DVD and Blu-ray Writers forum; I've a Pioneer DVR 110D v1.17 It is possible to flash only the normal firmware to 1.37 and not the kernel? It is more secure way than flash also the kernel? Thx

    A normal update/flashing doesn't require to flash the kernel too.

    And, it is safer to only "normal flash" without flashing the kernel.

    Thx for the answer.
    I'm still a bit confused:
    - What program I've to use for flashing the normal firmware?
    - I've download DVR110D_FW137EU.zip from official pioneer site and there isn't a readme, there is a menu on upgr110D.exe to select only the normal upgrade?
    - In the archive there are 2 file:
    RB100011.137 (Kernel)
    RB100111.137 (Normal)
    The last is the normal, is it right?

    -If I use DVRFlash:
    DVRFlash -vf E: RB100111.137
    The command above is right?

    Just run the offical flasher and it should be fine.
