Have you ever wondered what your favorite company is up to?
Would you like to know more about their decisions, (new) products and background information? Now you can! CDFreaks is organizing a series of interviews with digital storage related persons. The coming time we will ask them what you want to know!

Here some examples of types of questions you could ask:

Current products
New products
Company information
Market details / outlook
Future opportunities
Personal questions for the person

What’s next?
This week we will ask questions to ASUS!

Please post your questions below in this thread. In two weeks, all questions will be collected. We pick the best ones and report the answers back on CDFreaks.com! So, stay tuned!

Mind you, this is not an engineer, if you have very technical questions you're better of posting them in a thread here. Only questions about Optical Storage will be answered, so please bear in mind to stick to this product range.

Cheers
L.

I would like to know if you are or will come out with a DVD-Rom with 20x or higher reading speed.

I see the 18x and am almost ready to buy a new reader for my duplicator and definately going with Asus DVD-Rom but am trying to holdout for your new DVD-Rom release

What do you think the lifetime will be for Blu-Ray now that HDD storage is getting cheaper and cheaper plus the fact that with Fibre connections to the home it's also getting easier to get your media online instead of buying discs.

Good question, wil there every be a market for blu-ray?

what is asus strategy for the future? what kind of products are they going to introduce?

is blu-ray becoming an imporant product for asus?
why isn't it now already?

the small laptops which you are introducing, are they blu-ray compatible? because i saw that blu-ray drives for laptops are getting cheap, so any plans for that?
what kind of storage devices are important for a laptop anyway?
