Asus 22B2ST

Does anyone has any idea if the Asus 22B2ST is a liteon drive?
I'm asking this beacause my sony dru860A@iHAP322 is almost dead (the cd part is no longer with us)

Re: Asus 22B2ST

Asus has had many models following the LO trend.

This is my guess.
DRW-22B1ST = iHAS122 8
DRW-22B2ST = iHAS122 9
DRW-22D1S = ?

DRW-22D1S = ?
DRW-22B2ST =\= iHAS122 9 as they are using different chipsets.
DRW-22D1S = Using Panasonic chipset, may be a LG GH22NP20 clone?

Well, as far as I've collected, the MT1869L chipset has been used in iHAS120, DVR-218L, SH-S223F, and SH-S223B.

Can the 22B2ST perform a DQ scan in CD-DVD Speed?

It does seem like the 22D1S is a LG 22NP20 clone. This is the closest to seeing a real picture and noting the closeness of the activity light and manual eject hole, as well as the 16x DVD+R9 write speed.

Is there a iHAS122 9 drive at all ? There are iHAP122 9 firmwares, but I have not seen a iHAS122 9 firmware.

Re: Asus 22B2ST

There probably isn't an iHAS122 9, but iHAS122 A, since there are DL0A and DL0P firmwares available for the latter.

Thus, there are the original iHAS & iHAP 8 series, but the revised are iHAS A and iHAP 9.

Re: Asus 22B2ST

Your 22B2ST firmware is a DH22AZS firmware.
