105 Internal Target Failure in Nero

I continue to receive an error when attempting to write DVD-R dics in Nero.
I am using the newest version 6.3.1.17
My harddrives have been defragmented recently.
This issue occurs with various source files.
The issue also occurs with different types of media.
Can anyone help me resolve this?

Re: 105 Internal Target Failure in Nero

Try another recording app such as CloneDVD2 to see if all of your burns still fail.
You can find a trial here: http://www.elby.ch/products/clone_dvd/

Anyone else have a clue as to why he is getting these errors?

Re: 105 Internal Target Failure in Nero

tryed writing a dvd-r on clonedvd2 with no sucsess. Got a n error that says DVD write error (WriteDVD9). A DVD write error has occured, probaly caused by a bad medium. Please replace the medium and try again. So I did with a new pro disk, still same error right away.

Re: 105 Internal Target Failure in Nero

Found a few discussions that mention "internal target failure" on the 105 here:
http://forum.digital-digest.com/arch...c/22497-1.html

and here:
http://forums.cdcovers.cc/showthread.php?t=87665

The problem appears to be due to the media.

Re: 105 Internal Target Failure in Nero

I had the same problem with my 105 - internal target failure and power calibration errors. I tried different media, different burning software , different FW , lens cleaning ,nothing worked. I also noticed dvd read speeds had slowed way down. It would however still burn cds . Anyway after much testing I gave up.

This is Essentially a hardware error.
No need to delete filters.

Just Clean Your Lens.
Grease The Rails.

Follow step by step instructions at
