Interesting, I wouldn't expect that from HP ... A look at the SATA Integrators list suggests that the AD-7251H is a AD-7261S clone ... I suspect the drive must be using a different bootcode, so the firmwares are not directly interchangeable?Quote:Originally Posted by Liggy

That would be my guess too and I think without having a 7251H drive, it's not possible to get this drive's bootcode. But then there's probably not much benefit in using this firmware. Bitsetting can be achieved by patching and I guess the rest of this firmware doesn't differ much from other 7261S firmwares.
Good to know that I'm not the only one taking an occasional look at the SATA integrators list. I'm already waiting for the AD-7290H, but I guess it won't differ much from the AD-7280S. I also wish they'd release a Blu-Ray burner (not a LiteOn rebadge) as a half-height drive, not only slimline type, but nothing found in that list so far.

I just sent you a PM regarding the slim/laptop SATA drive model AD-7740H. I just saw that unrequested PMs will not be answered. I apologize for sending it without first requesting it. Is it okay to ask you about a possible mod for this new slim burner's firmware with the added features that you usually supply

PM was answered. In order to patch a firmware I first need to have an original version that someone needs to supply as I don't have that drive myself. __________________

Looking at the firmware, it seems to be an AD-7740H rebadge.
