A Note: the 1.0A firmware tend to produce lower Jitter on all media than the 1.09 firmware
i have made a comparison on a lot of DVD+R didn't try on the DVD-R though

More PI Failures than the TY but much less PI Errors.

Is it possible I just got a bad batch of TY's? If so, my Asus sure doesn't notice. I know other people have been able to burn the 8x TY +R's at 16x with very low errors but when I tried 12x as soon as it reached that speed it lowered to 10x and even dropped to 8x at the end. I do know I got an "R" drive that has a different bootcode and therefore different (probably crappier) hardware. It won't even copy SD2 discs.

Also, I noticed in the Imgburn logs it says "OPC Enabled: No". Is there any way to enable it?

Benchmark always looks crappy like this (never a straight line). CPU usage is also high. I can't understand why.

Yes, and remember that the "new" drives force you into using 1.09 because of the bootcode change.

Verbatim 8x DVD+R DL full-face printable MIS
burned 4x with 7201S


1 burn, 3 different scans.

Out of these three, I trust my 20A4P most for DL scans. The iHAS422 seems to show a similar PIE mountain on almost every DVD+R DL (regardless of burner used)
(ODC didnt't work with the 20A4P)
