Nice scans there

Are the MCC03RG20's new or old batched. Not seem that MID burn that well for a long while.

Why don't you change the cdspeed settings to show the full burn speed over 16x so the line doesn't disappear at the top of the graph.

Everything is set to default except jitter mostly because of my newbie status with cd speed. I have an idea of how to change it, but what exactly would I have to do? I'm about to test it out with a burn so I'll probably figure it out.

As for the MCC 03RG20's I'm not familiar with the batch lingo, but I bought that spindle as a 100cakebox/branded off of Newegg about 4-6 weeks ago. I assume it's new batch since I doubt they've made any changes to the packaging lately? I can get equal if not slightly better results on my Pioneer 115D, but ofcourse it varies from disc to disc.

Hi.
I have a question.
Is my Optiarc AD-7201A supposed to scan CD media?

Thanks in advance.

I have a question too.
I bought an AD-7200S with 1.06 firmware. Which is the latest official firmware for this device. At the official site I can only find firmware 1.0 Isn't that strange?
Will it gain in quality recordings if I change its firmware with a custom one?

I guess the firmware version 1.0A is greater than 1.06. If you count in hexadecimal numbers.

You are right 1.06 is greater than 1.0. However 1.0A is greater than 1.06
The version I see in the official site is 1.0A

There are other numeral systems. The usual decimal system is one. The hexadecimal system is another one, more common in the computer world.

I didn't know about these stuff. Thanks.

The slowest you read, the better the results. Most people in here use 8x for scans.

The 2 cogs icon at the top will bring up the setting menu.

On the Transfer Rate tab, change the Maximun Speed DVD to say 22x, and also do the same on the Disc Quality tab. Mine's at 24x as I have a 22x burner

Did you notice the country of origin on the packaging? (India/Taiwan ext) If not, please could you post the hub code, from the clear ring at the centre of the disc
