1st disk of a Ricoh DVD+R16x gold ultra spindle.
Burned 8x and scanned with the AD-7200A.
2nd burn with different media where it starts of with a spike
Should it improve when flashing with Iggy's firmware?
I know this isnt top of the line media though.

    Happy new year.

Maxell -R 16x@16x and i don't believe that the 7200A burned this ritekf1 media so good, to bad that i wont be keeping this dvd so that i could re-scan it after a few months.

Can someone please show me where to find one of these in the US (Preferrably the 7200, don't care about label flash) . I really want 1 or 2 but it costs about $65.00 to ship one from the UK. Please help, I love these drives & the support from Liggy & Dee.

Going by past experience. These drives should appear in the USA a few weeks after they are released in Europe. Probably not the AD-7203 though. So sometime soon i would expect.

And it is a serious challenger. Its faster than the Pioneer and the results i've had so far beat my DVR-112 and DVR-115D.
I can see it with IE

TBH, I have seen in the past many good burns from Pioneer-drives, even with not so good media. MCC004 and TY T02/03 is not my reference, most writers do a good job with it. With Ricoh R03, MBI R05 and with MCC03Rg20 I´ve seen better results.

But the F1 and M01-burns looking good, I think it´s better tahn a burn mit the 7170.

But it looks like the 7200 is not a reliable scanner.

    @ZeChico

Thx for the tipp, it works

I can't see the scans with Firefox either, I see the phrase "Attached Images" that's it, very strange because all other groups of scans I can see fine.

Anyway the drive looks very good, soon as they show up on Newegg.com I will have to get one, they usually give free shipping when they first list them so watch for it

I have the same problem. I can't see the attachements in NEC Optiarc Forum with ff 2.0.0.11 and ff 3.0 beta2. In Konqueror, IE 7, Apple Safari it works fine but not on Firefox.

The Optiarc 720x drives look very promising. I hope my AD-7203A will arrive in a few days.

    Hi vroom
Yes. MCC004 and TYG03 at 20x. again basically untested.
The MBIPG101R05 shows a bit improvement. But i can't help feel your batch of media is poor, as this media is generally quite good.

Philips -R 16x @ 16x Nothing really to say about the burning speed, but
the quality scan and the transfer rate test are saying everything.

Mostly i use verbatim DVDs and becase i am buying a new dvd recorder i want to know if 7200 has better writing quality.
