Hey guys, I am new here.

Sorry, if this thread not intended for question like that, but...

Whats the difference between models 7200 and later models 7201\7203? Also I've seen all these with and without "DL" suffix, what it stands for?

Also, will I benefit of SATA versions (burn quality wise)? Any problems on startup, boot from cd, etc.? Never had SATA ROM before...

EDIT: Okay, found that 7201 - supports LightScribe; 7203 - LabelFlash... Anything else I missed?

Welcome to the forum.
If you have an Intel chipset motherboard with Intel SATA controller, you shouldn't have a problem with a SATA burner. Other chipsets are more of a lottery.

Hello! I'm a newbie here. So please excuse me in advance if I write this message in the wrong topic.

I have AD7203S drive installed in my PC. I wrote RPC1 firmware from here. I works under Vista for most of my DVDs. However for at least one of them I get the following error when I try to play it using Media Player. Also, under Mac OS X DVD Player don't want to recognise the drive as RPC1 and ask me to change the region code.

Please suggest me the solution.

I don't think that the 7201 has a rip lock.
