NEC / Optiarc Writer Discuss, NEC 72xx or Pioneer 212 for 8x speed Taiyo media at CD, DVD and Blu-ray Writers forum; What burner would you suggest from the two brands for high quality writing of slow speed (8x) Taiyo Yunden DVD-R media (TYG02)?

    I don't know about the Sony NEC Optiarc AD-72xx but the Pioneer 112 is as good as any drive I have with TYG02 (and better than most drives), and I don't see any reason why the 212 should be any different since it's basically the SATA version of the 112.
