NEC 3500ag problem again

NEC / Optiarc Writer Discuss, NEC 3500ag problem again at CD and DVD Writers forum; unfortunatelly I have problems with my NEC 3500AG dvd writer. the thing is, when I put a cd (whether it is a dvd or an ordinary cd) in the writer and after I watched some files on it something unussually happens.. unfortunatelly I have problems with my NEC 3500AG dvd
writer.
the thing is, when I put a cd (whether it is a dvd or an ordinary cd) in
the writer and after I watched some files on it something unussually
happens..

When I take out my cd from the dvd-rom and close it, the hard disk LED
and the dvd-rom LED won't turn off for about 5-10 minutes. It affects on my
work and my computer goes slow.
So the question is what's the problem?

My components are:
msi 645 motherboard

NEC dvd (master) and LGcdrom (secundary) on the same IDE cable
intel P4 1,6

and windows XP as a OS
