    Hello,

I am new to DVD burning, I have tried to burn a DVD+R double layer (Ricoh) for the first time, with Nero 6.6.

The burning process in Nero was ok, but I cannot read the DVD+R DL on my PC (my NEC 2510A, which burnt it, cannot read it, neither can my Plextor PX-116A3 DVD-rom). I have another PC at home with a Toshiba DVD-rom SD-M1802, and it can read the DVD+R DL I've burnt, but often fails.

My NEC 2510A firmware is the 2.19 official version.

What can I do to get better result and to burn double layer DVD readable on any DVD-rom? Does the problem come from Ricoh DVD, Nero, the NEC burner or its firmware... ?

    Any suggestion? Thank you!

PS: I did not burn/rip a commercial DVD, it is just a DVD with large video files.

Use Verbatim DL media instead of Ricoh.

You mean, a scan with Ricoh or other DVD+R DL?

"CMC MAG D01" ? is it a type/catergory of DVD ? How to know if a DVD is "CMC MAG D01" or not?
