| I noted that there's an extra speed step-down near the end, compared to the one I burned with 2.16. I can't say if this is FW difference or normal variation between burns. The total time was not affected much. there certianly appears to be some gain in burn quality.    Aint that pretty?  |

| Doing a little beta testing with a strat swap for T01/01, it's using the T03 strat in this burn. What's interesting is the slow-down, the drive shifted from CAV to Z-CLV , which we have not seen before. As you can see, the burn quality remained high, so whatever the drive is doing, it's doing it well.   |

| ND3500A 2.17 Prodisc F01 @ 8X I scanned this with my "old" sohw 832s with KProbe Probably the best I have done with this media, Prodisc F01 @ 8x

| ProdiscR03 +R (Datawrite branded) Burned on the ND-3500AG at 8X (TDB MD 2.F8 firmware) Scanned on Liteon 1213S @ Sony DRU 710A (BY01 firmware) I would think it's fair to say both drives are running very sweet and this media batch is pretty good

| This time its Taiyo Yuden (YUDEN000T02) That's branded. Burned on the ND-3500AG at 16X A good enough burn i think

| A CD-R scan with the new Herrie 2.17 firmware. Verbatim Pastel Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs, 48x rated (ATIP Code: 97m24s01f) Nero CD-DVD Speed 3.21 create disc (doesn't seem to go higher than 32x):  Plextools 2.16 C1/C2/CU Scan with Plextor Premium drive:   Good results, roughly the same the Plextor Premium produces. I had better Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs in the past tho, with C1 averages of only 0.3. |
