| Hi! there all  I've been doing some data burns with my new NEC 3500 drive & I notice that when I go to burn data to a DVD-R disc with Nero 6.3.1.20 the "Write method" is always DAO & ghosted out but when the NEC CDR mode is chosen in NERO for writing CDR's its not ghosted. Is this normal?  Is there some setting I need to change for the DVD writer setting within Nero in order for the DAO/TAO options to be displayed?? Thanks!

| I've been trying to find out some info. concerning my above query and I can't seem to find any reference to TAO data burning w.r.t. DVD writers. Since I am new to DVD writing, am I correct in assuming that DAO/TAO protocol's are different when compared to the CD recording method in Nero and other burning softwares?? Is it not possible to Burn Data to DVD media with a TAO writing strategy?? Thanks for any help.
