Strange burned a few dvd+rw with this firmware and my drive recognize it like a regular dvd+rw.

It all comes down to choice.
Set the booktype however you would like it to be.

Use Dvdinfopro to make the changes.

btw, i have to full erase dvd+rw first to be able to burn them as DVD-ROM?

This is the one I used........ Command-Line Utility

You can set the booktype after you burn the +RW with this one.

dvdplusrwbitset -dvd-rom-spec -media d:

Change the identification bitsettings on the currently loaded DVD+RW disc to DVD-ROM specification.
