NEC / Optiarc Writer Discuss, Editing Posts on the forum at CD, DVD and Blu-ray Writers forum; Hi there I made a post awhile ago regarding backing up firmware for the NEC2500 drive: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=93863 I've received a message from the Dangerous Brothers to edit the post to change the links for the firmware listed. So if anyone can tell me where to look to edit it I

    BTW Anyone ever updated their drive using a CDRom boot disc with the firmware update and flashing program on there? I tried it before to update a motherboard BIOS and it worked (Gigabyte Dual Bios), never tried it with a writer tho'

    I just changed the links. Since cross site linking on RPC1.org is not allowed, I changed them all to http://tdb.rpc1.org
