Best 2500A firmware for DL burning (need Ritek DL support)?

NEC / Optiarc Writer Discuss, Best 2500A firmware for DL burning (need Ritek DL support)? at CD, DVD and Blu-ray Writers forum; I gonna buy some DL media for testing purposes soon, but haven´t figured out whats the best DL firmware for the 2500A yet. I tried the 2.16 fw with the windows flasher, but it didn´t work. I suppose i have to flash it in DOS, right? If so, how can

    Just one last question: Does the 1.07 v2 Beta 5 fw include Ritek DL support? If so i won´t need to upgrade my burner to 2510A...

    It does not. Currently, *ONLY* Herrie's modified 2.16 firmware supports the Ritek DL discs. We're told that a new modified firmware will be out soon that'll support EVERYTHING we all want. SL and DL bit setting with Ritek support...Stay tuned.

    From what I understand it'll be a modified Mad Dog fw for the 2510a. Someone else can likely confirm or deny that. Liggy or Herrie care to comment??
