AD-7170 EAC offsets

I've tried to determine (with EAC) read & write offsets for my AD-7170, and found read offset = +48 and write offset = -30.
Not at all sure (just owns one of the "reference CDs") if these are the correct values, so I'd like to know if anyone else has got the same (or different ) offsets...

Hi Mikwie, welcome to CDFreaks!

I assume the offsets on the AD-7170A are the same as on the previous NEC models like e.g. the NEC ND-3500AG and ND-4551A.

If that's true then these are the correct offsets for EAC:

Read offset correction: +48
Write offset: +18

Combined offset: +66

I haven't actually tested this write offset on my AD-7170A however.

Thanks for welcoming me to the forum, fellow Scandinavian!

I've now tried the write offset from your post (compare WAV etc), and found it to be correct!

The read offset & combined read/write offset correction were the same as the ones I had determined myself.
But... I had confused "read offset" with "read offset correction" (read offset = -read offset correction), resulting in a stupid "sign error"...
