NEC / Optiarc Writer Discuss, 3500a w/ Beta firmware vs Pioneer w/ latest stock firmware at CD and DVD Writers forum; i think a lot of the reviews i've read say that pioneer is better than the nec drive in terms of reading and writing dvds. but with so much nec 3500a support from you guys, like herrie and liggy, it is pretty much a no brainer to get the 3500a

i think a lot of the reviews i've read say that pioneer is better than the nec drive in terms of reading and writing dvds.

but with so much nec 3500a support from you guys, like herrie and liggy, it is pretty much a no brainer to get the 3500a drive based on potential updates and features added to this drive.

anyhow, i was wondering if you guys believe that the 3500a drive with the latest beta drivers, make the drive just as good or better than the dvr-108 drive in terms of readin/writing?
