| PDU: I don't think it will get any better... the highest PI/PIF values are at 10x and 12x... at 14x the AOPC kicked and lowered the speed... so even 14x and 16x aren't good... |

| I use Liggy's 2.18 firmware and wrote at default speed.

| celestar32: so why did you post this here... Liggy 2.18 has his own thread here |
- #134
| He posted here because the thread name is "2.18 modified firmware" and the Liggy 2.18 is also a modified firmware. I can see how people can be confused about it.

| quikee i´m burning yuden000 t01 it works but does the same as tth01 in tdk i´ts unable to break 4X speed |

| BRCN: Hmmm... make a nero cd/dvd speed test disc... and post the speed graph... PDU.. I'll try some other 10x-16x write strats for prodiscf01.. I was thinking... if I cut off 2.4x and 2x strats from firmwares that burn at least at 4x... i can get a lots of new room for making write strats coctails.. what do you think ? |

| Firmware: beta8 MID: OPTODISCR004 Burnspeed: 8X Media rating: 4X DVD-R (Medianca) This one passes my quality testing with flying colors. Kind of weird that the 4X and 6X part is actually worse than the 8X part. However as reflected in the transferrate test this is a keeper

| pdu... maybe if i keep the 4x original strat... and copy the 8x strat to 6x.. maybe it'll work better =) I'll try this... |
- #141
| here it is, good graph as i expected from a 4x burn however when burn starts there are fluctuations between 2x-3,5X till 20% then stabilizes burn speed at 4X |

| @Quikee2 What sort of error checking does your patcher have?

| This one works great, here's a scan of a 8X burn: Thanks |
- #146
| Not quite... I've made some extra reporting for my NecDump tool... that I can check if things are OK.. However I also use another aproach to modify the firmware.. |
- #147
| BRCN: make a data disc... so I can see this fluctuations... PDU: You can try POMSC001002 again... if it gets any better at 8x |
- #148
| DDDessauV20 @ 8x with 3500 and 2.F8_QBx: Compare with my scans in the 2.F8 thread. http://club.cdfreaks.com/showpost.ph...9&postcount=27 I guess the media don't do 8x, 6x is max. When it hit 8x the error rate went crazy. The whole 6x part was great. /e: not even great, it was far better than the disc burned on the 2510. Can you limit the media to 6x? Would be an improvement anyway. I have no more discs to test other strategies.
