Russian police probe cheap downloads site

IFPI in UK has lodged a formal complaint against Allofmp3 with the Moscow State Prosecutors office and is seeking to closedown this site period due to the lowcost music downloads of your choice at 1 cent per megabyte and encoded in a format of choice as well, rather than the usual limited use low bit rate DRM'd variety for a fee of 99 cent pers track ,the article appeared in the register(link here=http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/02/22/allofmp3_probe/ ). Unfortunately, the current Moscow Police Force, is now fully and totally committed on other more serious tasks at this point in time, from corruption, terroism and organised criminal/mafia style gangs! The local Moscow Police, alas, have little or no forces or resources available to fight victimless crimes at this point in time. Still, obviously IFPI, the defacto child of the RIAA , are now marshalling troops and resources to attack and close down,what they consider as rebel sites. We live in interesting times, after all in Italy , special police units are seeking to close down Disco DJ's for illegal use of copyrighted music for entertainment at the local dances, where will it all end, play once self destructing music/return of the costly and unpopular media user license and or tax et al?

WTF? Aint police got better things to do like catching burglars, rapists, etc..
