Greetings to all,

I just wanted to find out whether rapidshare and such services are considered peer to peer or not. I believe that since they make use of their own servers to host peoples files therefore there is no actual connection between users. Therefore it is not peer to peer. Also if anyone can clarify how bit torrent works will be appreciated. All I know is that a tracker file is downloaded then you use the client to download the file. I would like to know where exactly the file resides

Well no, rapidshare is all hosted on servers, which is hosted by a network.
