Basically, the best thing you can do is to not do it. I would however suggest a proxy server, but even those can be cracked nowadays. Seriously, if youre worried about it, then dont do it. Dont forget that your isp is constantly watching your online activity.

No need. By posting on this forum we now have your ip address and can subpoena your isp to give out your address and real name. Asking to participate in a felony is a felony itself so the Feds will be at your door at 09:00 am on Octember 24.

Have a nice day.

2 and 3 are invalid given the post itself and therefore he may just get away with using number 1 as an excuse.

Vege yep your IP is in the bit where your name and avatar are, I used to run my own forum, only certain people are allowed to see it depending on board settings.

You really have no clue how the federal jurisdictial system works eh?

Hiding yourself behind semi-anarchistic rules is fun, until you're actually cuffed and interrogated. Ask Kevin Mitnick.

The reality is that you have to hurt or piss off someone with MONEY in order to get the handcuffs. Again, ask Kevin Mitnick.

Re: can i hide my isp to become invisible and use p2p networks?

excokehead, there really isn't a way to become totally invisible on peer to peer networks. Most networks need some IP address to make you a valid person on the network. You can use Proxy servers (servers you connect to, like a third party) to connect to networks, but this will slow you down. Plus such servers are hard to come by. Bottomline is that there is no way to become entirely invisible on a public network, no matter what programs or servers you use.
