Unreal Tournament No CD Patch Help

Copy Protection Discuss, Unreal Tournament No CD Patch Help at Software forum; I originally owned Unreal Tournament 98'/Gold... The CD is scratched beyond repair, so a friend of mine gave me a copy of Unreal Tournament that he had made and downloaded a patch for No CD. I have no idea how to install it..... And I wana play it so bad!!!!

I can't see why not, as long as Pr0jctsh4d0wi0n has paid for the original.

What sort of file is the patch? If it's a .exe then just run it and see what happens, if a .zip etc. then unpack and look for a .nfo or readme file.

A NO CD patch modifies the software and is illegal in any instance, even if you own the original.

As I recall the official (i.e. legal) v.4.36 patch for Unreal Tournament acts as a no-cd patch. I haven't tested if the link is still good but you should be able to download the official patch here.
