problem with A-ray scanner twincreator

Hello,
I have been trying to backup a program disc called Boaedmaker v5.2. It has Securom 5.03.06. I tried using philamber's guide, but when I to start Twincreator (philamber's guide step 11) it just closes when I click start.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I used Alcohol v197 build 6022 and A-Ray v2.0.2.3

MDS specifications have changed a little bit so i guess Twincreator can't use your "new" MDS file.

Either create the "Media-Description" file with Blindwrite's BWA Builder or use an Alcohol version before v1.9.6.4629.

Hi guys, I have unfortunately been having what I think is the exact same problem.
I'm trying to create a copy of Boardmaker V6 and going through the tutorial as posted here:

I make it through the ripping process with Alcohol (v1.9.7.6221) fine, but as soon as I attempt to patch the file with A-Ray Scanner (v2.0.2.3) it closes the application instantly.
IE. I open A-ray, go into the twin creator, select the media description, select the image and then press start the whole of a-ray (including twin creator) will close instantly.

I tried at first using the original Alcohol MDS, but then I noticed the edit on the posting and as such attempted to use a BWA created by Blindwrite (v6.0.8.92), the effect is identical, as soon as the start button is pressed, the application will close.

Subsequently I have tried to find a copy of Alcohol v1.9.6.4629 to see if I can get that to work, unfortunately I've been unable to find a copy that I can download which works. Also; should it be *earlier* than .4629, ie. .4628 or earlier or is v1.9.6.4629 (exactly) an appropriate version to use.

Any advice anyone is able to offer would be greatly appreciated.

We have a solution.
I completely uninstalled my current version of Alcohol and installed Alcohol 120% 1.9.5.4327 (7 MB) which is available for download from here:

Upon having done that, the tutorial process from the original post could be followed perfectly.
