| I guess this isn't comman but it happenbed to me. Im new to this and didn't expect anything this bad to happen. Ran Starforce Nightmare and disabled CDRoms. I get bue screen and now I am told that I have no operating system on my computer. I put the drive into my old comp and after no joy reading the drive I tried Partition Table Doctor. This prog told me that I needed to repair the boot block. This I did and was able to see the drive and it's contents but when put back it still would not boot. I then decided to repair the XP installation. It starts fine but after it reboots to install it tells me it cannot find the asms file. I don't have a clue how to get windows to see the CD drive as this seems to be the problem. What a nightmare. Any suggestions?  |
