DVD Shrink 3.2 and AnyDVD 5.5.1.1
Bought this DVD trying to put it on my network to watch on my HTPC.
Not having any luck. I get an encryption error and the transfer stops.
Anybody have any luck with this one yet?

It will work in Movie Only mode. But other software with AnyDVD is another question. Clone 2 and AnyDVD 5.4.4.1.

What does movie only mean?
Does it mean it only allows me to watch the movie direct from the DVD?
I could do that before without AnyDVD.

Anyway I just ran AnyDVD 5.5.4.1 with DVD Shrink3.2 and it appears to have worked. Only thing is I dont have anything to watch a movie on this computer (I need to bring in a WinDVD or something from home). I'll have to take it home and see if it really worked or not.

did you finish ripping the files to your HD? If you have you should run it through VOBblanker first and then shrink it.. Works great..

For some reason CloneDVD with AnyDVD would not work but DVDShrink with AnyDVD 5.5.4.1 does.
I just downloaded a free WinDVD trial version to check it out before I go home. Works "silly crazy bitchen"

Sweetnamja: I dont shrink my movies down. I store them on my server so I wasnt looking to make a back up DVD copy. Just want a copy of it on my HDD to stream over my home network. I just cut out all the stupid add's and menu's and store only the movie.

i finally did it like this:

1. Didn't have ANYDVD [though i hear it's a good program and i may get it]
2. Ripped with DVDFAB
3. Ran through VobBlank with default settings, ie input us the just ripped DVDFAB files and output to another directory.
4. DVDshrink with the new files that you just processed with VobBlank.
5. In DVDshrink for the best quality settings i had to turn off the sharp settings else it didn't turn out good.

Done pretty good, worked good

Madagascar won't burn,,,, Do you have to use Clone DVD if you use AnyDVD ?

I get this error message when DVD Shrink gets to 36 %

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
Failed to read file "E.\"
Data error [cyclic redundancy check].

There have only been two times in all the years of using it ( hundreds of movies) that Clone DVD (and anydvd) failed to read a movie in the later stages and come up with errors.

Both times I tried InterVideo DVD which read the movie no probs...
