Will this work for a software cd? I have a game cd and if I make a copy and try to install the game it says "Error", "This program cannot run without the original CD in the drive"
(The CD is a game for kids to learn to read)
here is a list of files on cd #1 of 3: (each cd installs separately)

if I run Setup.exe from the copied disc it installs the game but in order to run the game it executes waitmsg.exe and displays the error mentioned above. I suspect it opens the "Launcher".

This might not be hexalock protection.

I think it is hexalock because it says cdi.co.il on the disc and that site offers hexalock copy protection here: http://www.cdi.co.il/%D7%94%D7%92%D7...%A7%D7%94.html (page is in hebrew)

a-ray scanner finds nothing.

In which case it wouldn't hurt to try Goldstar's utility unhexalock to copy all files from the CD to a folder and try running the game without the CD.

I can copy the files normally, but I can't run the program. The link I posted says that the program has extra lines of code for copy protection

Download a copy of unhexalock and read the included instructions.

The process is easy to follow.

Pb with PDF manuals on CDROM under windows 7
Hi,

First, sorry for my poor English...

I am not able to acces to PDF manual files on CDROM. I am now under Windows 7. It was working on Windows XP where the CR load a resident program named HCPS Manager.

Maybe someone have already post the solution but I haven't found.
