I would say no it's not possible.

Consider that you have already defeated the protection scheme. Even if you found some method to protect the backup, what's to stop someone else from breaking it?

I beg to differ - of course you can!! You can take the disc and lock it in a cupboard - that way no-one can make a copy of it!!
